Taquile Kayak Cross + Uros Paddle

One of our friendly drivers takes from your hotel to the main Puno harbor on a 10-minute car ride. You'll be assisted to onboard the motor boat, introduced to your boatman and then you'll set off towards Uros Islands on a 30-minute boat ride, along the way enjoy the view of the lake surroundings.

On arrival at the floating village be amazed by the innovative way of using Totora root and reed for building their floating homes. You'll disembark on one of these islands where you'll meet your kayak guide and find your kayak equipment. This will be a unique chance to encounter with the local families and learn about their history, island process building, legacy and much more.

Following this experience, you're heading to Llachon community shoreline by a motor boat on a direct boat navigation of 2 hours. Upon arrival, let your guide and boatman set up your kayak gear and equipment. Be ready to paddle on the open highest navigable lake in the world. You'll be hitting the blue horizon and have great views of Taquile Island, Chucuito peninsula and Amantani Islands on the way.

You'll disembark at the local North tip of Taquile Island, hike up for about 45 minutes to its Main Square through the stone paved trail. The set menu is based on Quinua soup, grilled Trout or vegetable omelet with white rice and hot drinks. You'll make your way down to the port through the stone stairs.

Onboard again the engine boat and return to Uros Islands on a 2-hour 45-minute ride through the same way. You'll disembark again at one of the reed floating Islands to get in your kayak and start paddling on the way back to Puno shoreline. This will easily become in one of your best experiences as you'll be kayaking at the sunset time in Lake Titicaca.

Your day kayak tour in Lake Titicaca ends at Isla Esteves dock. You'll be picked up by your driver and transferred to your hotel on a 15-minute car ride.
