Uros Kayak + Amantani Overnight Tour is a round-trip paddle from Puno to Uros and from Uros to Puno. You’ll visit Amantani and Taquile Islands by a group boat.
Venture on oneway trip kayak adventure throughout the amazing landscape of Lake Titicaca National Reserve. Stay the night at a local house, share their food and dance wearing traditional clothes in Amantani Island.
Amantani Homestay Kayak Tour begins with the pick-up from your Puno hotel and transfer to the local kayak dock. If you are a non-experienced kayaker, your kayak guide instructor provides the basic paddling lesson and safety briefing. You then get in a tandem or single Prijon kayak and paddle from the Isla Esteves pier towards the Uros man-made floating Islands.
After a 50-minute non-rushed kayak paddling to Uros, you finally arrive at Lake Titicaca floating village. You'll have almost 50 minutes for exploring the island. Your guide delivers information about the origin of the Uros people.
A small engine boat transfers you to embark on Amantani Island boat. The slow regular motor boat takes you to Amantani main port. At Amantani port, the group will break into smaller groups of 4 people to be taken by the families to their homes.
The lunch provided by the family is based on Quinua soup, fried cheese and cooked potatoes and Ocas as the main course and Andean mint or Coca hot drink.
If you are in a good physical condition you could trek to Pachatata Temple or Pachamam Temple. From there contemplate the beautiful sunset.
All people visiting the Island are invited to take part of "Peña Show", a welcome live music party with freestyle dance and funny moments. Overnight.
After an early breakfast, your family host is going to walk you down to the local port. Your boat captain will navigate towards Taquile Island for about 1 hour.
Upon arrival, a 45-minute long ascending path will take you to the top, where you'll find a small Main Square. Taquile is famous by their fine textiles. Have lunch based on Taquilean Quinoa soup, grilled Trout with white rice.
The boat returns directly to Puno port throughout Uros islands.
